Mr. Willman came to our rescue. Cleaned up what a previous Surveying company made a mess of and ensured we were well suited to build on our new lot. FIVE STARS!
Ed assisted us with our Smith Mountain Lake dock permit process and we could not have done this without him! Our permit was a lot more challenging than most as we had to dredge first before getting the official permit and we had a Resource Protection Area we needed to ensure was protected and we followed all the restrictions and guidelines that go along with that. This project required multiple surveys and drawings beyond the norm also staking the area in the water for the contractors, etc. Ed attended conference calls with us, the AEP, and Army Corp of Engineers to make sure he understood everything they required. His knowledge and understating of the process, his professionalism, accuracy and timely completion is unparalleled. We do not live in the area and Ed and his team took care of everything without us being present…this saved us both time and money! I can’t say enough great things about Accupoint Surveying…I would highly recommend him.
I hired this company to survey a property I purchased in Danville, VA. The house had 2 separate parcels, that were attached to the main parcel. They did a property survey and drew up a new plat map consolidating the 3 parcels into one. Ed's work was quick and accurate. The city's Engineering Dept passed his work without any delays. Ed didn't require any payments or deposits up front, only once the work was done and approved. His fee was reasonable. I would highly recommend Ed's company to anyone needing a property surveyed.
We are in a tough situation with our septic system and we had Ed Willman's input which was very helpful. He was very helpful and provided us with a lot of information that no one else would including different options we had. He also tried to save us money in any way he could and really appreciated his honesty and information during a challenging time! We would recommend him highly!
I found Mr. Willman's surveying company on Google after searching for someone to survey the family farm. He had the best reviews on Google and Facebook. I contacted 5 different survey businesses within a 75 mile radius of our property. Mr. Willman was not the least expensive nor the most expensive option, however he was the quickest to respond to my e-mail. In fact, our first telephone conversation was after 7 p.m. on a weekday. He was the most thorough person I spoke with. He asked the most questions about the property and he gave me the most verbal information about surveying in general and what he knew we'd experience during the survey process.I was especially pleased when Mr. Willman gave me a detailed price estimate before he came out to our property so we knew exactly what to expect and what we were paying for. We didn't have to wait long for Mr. Willman to come out to our property to begin work. Once he surveyed the property he gave us options on how to cut the property in the most cost efficient way. We encountered some questionable boundary lines and he was honest and upfront about how we could handle the situation and what we'd pay extra for if we chose to have him look into it further or even resurvey them. Mr. Willman quickly finished our new plat. He contacted our county office to make sure they'd approve our plat as written. He informed us of exactly what wording our new deed should include to make sure all of our bases were covered. He anticipated what other entities such as the bank and the health official would need since we were surveying off property to build a new home on. Once everything was finalized, he mailed us copies of our new plat and then inquired multiple times after that to check in, make sure we understood what he'd done, and then made sure everything was approved by our county (which it was).I should have written this review back in August 2016 when he completed the job for us. Mr. Willman is definitely the person to perform your survey. He is quick, helpful, extremely knowledgeable and really a nice guy. Do not go with the cheapest option. The extra money is worth the peace of mind in the job done correctly and we didn't pay anything until he'd completed all of his work!Thank again! The Johnson Family
I recently bought a house in Bedford County, and was lucky enough to get Ed to come out and accurately mark my lot as well as going above and beyond to locate and mark my septic system. This included pulling additional documents and extra legwork on his behalf, and Ed didn't miss a beat.I am removing numerous trees, installing a substantial wooden fence, and plan to erect an additional structure, so knowing the precise layout of my lot is imperative.Ed was professional, scheduled me in under a week, his marking was extremely thorough and ultimately very informative (for instance, I learned I have a neighbors' fence on my property!) I also found his fee to be reasonable- especially with consideration to the quality of his work.Ultimately, I would highly recommend Ed and Accupoint to anyone with surveying needs in the Central Virginia region!
I really enjoyed working with Accupoint Surveying & Design. They were very professional, detailed, great quality, very fast in responding to questions & I value their business. This is a great & wonderful company to hire.
My wife and I began to consider developing residential lots from a portion of a property in Lynchburg. We were told that accurate information would be needed to begin the process. Ed Willman at Accupoint was recommended to us as someone who could help. From the beginning, when Ed did in depth research into the property history, we knew we had chosen the right group for our surveying and planning. …

When my family needed to have our farmland in Campbell County surveyed and subdivided Ed Willman handled the entire project turn-key. Ed worked closely with my family to ensure an accurate land survey and equitable subdivision of the property. While conducting the initial boundary survey Ed brought to our attention that another surveyor had mistakenly taken in a couple acres…

In the process of planning and building my new home I encountered a lot of contractors who were not reliable, however Ed Willman with Accupoint Surveying & Design was great to work with.
